I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
